Judge´s Questions
JUDGE (1): Raise your hand, please. You do solemnly swear that the testimony you are about to give shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?
JUDGE (2): Please state your full name for the record, and spell it out.
JUDGE (3): Mr. Calderon, what is your residence address?
JUDEG (4): Here in Center City, in the County of San Jacinto?
JUDGE (5): Mr. Calderon, please keep your answers short, and restrict your answer to what has been asked.
JUDGE (6): Do you own an automobile, Mr. Calderon?
JUDGE (7): What make is it?
JUDGE (8): On the night of October 23 of this year, at 9:00 p.m. were you driving that car on Jones Road? --- I´ll rephrase that question. --On Saturday, October 23 of this year, at 9:00 p.m., were you driving your vehicle?
JUDGE (9): Did anything unusual happen to you at that time?
JUDGE (10): About how fast would you say the "Semi" was going?
JUDGE (11): Yes.
JUDGE (12): And where did the truck hit you?
JUDGE (13): No, I mean what part of your car?
JUDGE (14): Did you see the truck coming?
JUDGE (15): After the accident, did the driver of the truck get out and talk to you?
JUDGE (16): And what damage was there?
JUDGE (17): Well, I´m confused, Mr. Calderon. You stated in your earlier testimony that the truck was headed toward you in the southbound lane, yet the damage sustained by your vehicle was all in the rear. How do you account for that?
JUDGE (18): So you ended up facing in the opposite direction?
JUDGE (19); Mr. Calderon, did you have anything to drink that night?
JUDGE (20): I asked you if you had anything to drink that night.
JUDGE (21): Well, are you sure?
JUDGE (22): Okay. Was there anyone else in the car with you?
JUDGE (23): But the police report says that another Mexican adult male was on the scene when the police responded to the call. Why do you suppose the police officer wrote that if it wasn´t true?
JUDGE (24): The police report says that there was another Mexican adult male on the scene. Is that true?
JUDGE (25): Why did wait so long after the accident to call the police, Mr. Calderon?
JUDGE (26): Thank you. That´s all the questions I have. You´re free to go, Mr. Calderon, as far as I am concerned.
